Fantasteas is a tea company that melds the craft of good tea and story telling. Designed to be a luxury tea sampler in the style of specific fairytale stories. For this collection we centered around the story of Sleeping Beauty. Breaking down the story into the five key pieces, we paired teas to those important story beats so that your senses can also be told a story. The five parts include: The Forest: when Aurora and the Prince meet, The Curse: when the evil fairy devises how to take revenge against the royal family, The Fight: Prince Phillip fights the evil fairy in dragon form, The Rescue: the Prince waking Aurora up and of course The Wedding: the happy ending.

When it came to creating the vessels for the tea themselves, the boxes were fashioned to be in the style of mini books which were hand bound and the muslin was dyed with food coloring to create a consistent palette. All illustrations were individually hand painted in gouache and layered with a hand cut gold frame. To finish the whole experience off, they come with a mini bookshelf to display another illustration when lined up together.
